Votes shown in brackets after artist's name, where known (in the order LW DM CC SC). Song choices (where known) are given with original performing artist - as in most cases the performer puts their own spin on it anyway. Artists are colour-coded according to their category: Boys (16-24), Girls (16-24), Over 25s, and Groups.
Stacey McClean (YYY?)
Really great singer, only small clip shown, but seems to be very good.
CC: "You look like a little pop star."
(Song choice: Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man)
Treyc Cohen (YYYY)
Brilliant, only short clip shown but really enjoyed performing. Very strong voice.
CC: "You are the only person I've heard hit those notes, and that was the best audition of today."
(Song choice: Chaka Khan - I'm Every Woman)
Nicole Lawrence (YYYN)
First song wasn't all that bad! Adapts well, varied and powerful voice, good story.
SC: "Nicole: good singer, a LOT of bad habits. And I've seen and met so many singers like you over the years Nicole; I think there's a ceiling. But in terms of winning a show like this, I've heard better. A lot."
LW: "I think Simon, she's better than you think she is. I really, really do. I think this girl is...great."
CC: "I really like you Nicole and I think there's better to come from you."
DM: "Nicole, I agree with what Simon said about the bad habits, and I believe [you're willing to learn]."
LW: "Nicole, you're going into a very very difficult category, cause the over 25s, the standard is really really high. But I think you're good enough."
(Song choice: Emma Franklin - Piece Of My Heart)
(Second song: Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You)
Harmony Hood (YYYY)
From small clip, seems quite unique, good harmonies, good use of volume.
CC: "We've been waiting for the band to come in that's fresh, original... I'm really excited about you guys."
(Song choice: Kanye West - Love Lockdown)
Karl Lewis (YYYY)
Passionate, but not incredible.
CC: "I really enjoyed it. I thought it was good."
LW: "Karl, I think you could be really good."
(Song choice: Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing)
Dominic Harris (YYYY)
Seemed comfortable with the song chosen, definitely passionate, but maybe trying a bit too hard.
DM: "Dominic! I remember a shy boy, at the first auditions when I first saw you. You would never have done that performance so you've definitely grown and changed since then. Yep. Enjoyed the audience!"
CC: "You've turned into a young man now. And I don't know if the... the swagger is there quite yet. But the voice is there."
LW: "Dominic, I think you've much improved, you are really really good."
SC: "Well, Dominic. Is the voice incredible? No. It's not incredible. It's good, but..."
LW: "It's good, Simon."
SC: "I'm not saying it's not good, I'm just saying it's not incredible. At the moment it feels a little bit like you trying to be somebody else. And you don't have to be, because you're Dominic. Right? But better than we were two years ago, that's for sure."
CC: "I think you'd showed determination, guts and ambition."
DM: "He's a man now, you were right. From a boy to man."
LW: "With his confidence, he could be fantastic."
(Song choice: Chris Brown - With You)
Ethan Boroian (YYYY)
Quite a good voice but nothing spectacular
CC: "Wow. That was pretty impressive. And you're actually really sweet, you seem really quite humble, and that was a good audition."
DM: "A little superstar! We need to have a slice of that."
LW: "We want somebody to come in that's modern, up-to-date, understated, good-looking, talented, the girls are going to love you, you're gonna go far in this competition."
SC: "Yeah, I tell you what I like about you, you've got a good voice, but I also think you really like music. And that to me is crucial, that you've gotta know the direction you wanna progress in a competition like this, rather than just singing the obvious which I hear over and over again."
LW: "That guy's a star."
SC: "D'you think so?"
LW: "Oh!"
CC: "Yeah, he's got the potential."
LW: "A million per cent."
(Song choice: Kings Of Leon - Use Somebody)
Indie Okoye (?YY?)
Only very small clip shown, seems okay.
CC: "That was absolutely fantastic."
(Song choice: George Gershwin - Summertime)
Kandy Rain (YY?Y)
Not all that great harmony, quite cheesy dancing, but I think some of them have good voices.
DM: "You girls are sexy; you don't need to dress as provocative as you are."
(Song choice: Tori Alamaze - Don't Cha)
Faye Bray (YYYN)
Voice above average but not great, trying too hard with dress sense, seems fake personality
DM: "Faye, you're a bundle of surprises. Work in a prison, audition in that outfit and sing like that. Very, very surprising and you've actually got a very strong voice!"
CC: "(...long pause...) Yeah. I enj... I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it."
SC: "My problem is, is that you've picked up a lot of bad habits. You sing through your nose and at the moment you don't sound to me like a recording artist. Fact. On the other hand, you're interesting, I think people will like you, and you stand out."
(Song choice: Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep Mountain High)
It Takez 2 (NYYY)
Even Katie wasn't amazing (she was quite good), and Russell wasn't all that bad (the main fault was with the arrangement I felt), they were both pretty average to be honest, about what you'd expect for performers at Gala Bingo etc.
DM: "You guys are really sweet together, very sweet. I think for me Katie has the stronger voice out of the two. Russell, you've got to be careful with your "argh", that kind of barking before you sing."
CC: "Yeah I was really pleasantly surprised. It... It felt very effortless for you to sing Katie, it seems like a really natural thing for you to do. And I really enjoyed the sound of your voice, it was lovely."
LW: "Katie, I really really like your voice, and I think you've got a really sweet... I was totally surprised. Russell, didn't like your voice much. And it was all a bit old-fashioned, y'know, cruise ship, cabaret and all that."
DM: "Russell, I don't think your voice is strong enough."
LW: "I really like Katie's voice. I'm not sure about you Russell."
SC: "Look, guys, I don't see one being much better than the other."
LW: "She's good, Simon. Katie's very good."
SC: "Okay, I'm gonna give you one more shot."
